The H-21R(C) tensioner is used for tensioning PP tape and PET tape with a width of 8 - 19 mm. The connection can be made with a wire (self-locking), plastic or steel clamp of adequate width as the tape. The wire buckle (e.g. type B5XHG) is particularly suitable for tying wood, the plastic buckle (e.g. type B-12 or B-16) is suitable for wrapping lighter items where a metal buckle cannot be used. The steel buckle (e.g. type PP-13 or PP-16) is mainly used for binding pallets where the joint is made in a vertical position. H-35 pliers are used to close the steel buckle.
